Last weeks announcement of plans to build a Disneyland style theme park in the town of Pyla, in Cyprus, could mean big business for tourism. Russian based investors, Boema Group, have applied for permission to build an €800million theme park which will be fulfilled by Greek mythology and Cypriot history. The proposed theme park will cover an area of approximately 600 donums (around 80 hectares) and include such attractions as water park, cinemas, theatres, auditoriums, stadiums, a ski centre, waterfalls, adventure parks, shops, spas, saunas, Roman baths and a museum. Luxury hotel for 1000 room will also be available. |
